With half ironman on the horizon next year it is time to get some help from the kit. Any thoughts on tri bars from those in the know would be greatly appreciated. My handle bars are 31.8 if this is important.

I think deda parabolica are decent - think you can buy them on Wiggle. Not too heavy and a good price.
Yep I've got Deda parabolic a too -

They come either straight, with one bend or two which you get depends on how comfortable your wrists are in different positions. If you want to borrow them to try them out just give me a shout. Takes a little while to get used to them (best on a quiet road)

... also worth an early wobble around the Dulwich Park circuit.

Hi Martyn, I've always used Profile T4's with a 'ski' bend. They're reliable and top end entry level before getting getting onto carbon. Following my Retul fit I've also fitted riser brackets which are easily doable and increases comfort. I'm not using them at the moment, more than welcome to try them on your bike for the day?

Thanks for the advice and offers from Tony and Beth to try out your kit. Much appreciated.

Both sound great so will give Tony's a go as he lives round the corner. Tony - will PM you.

Thanks again.
Now Beth has moved up in the world she is local too you know

Maybe we could have a Profile vs Deda test ride eh ;-)

I've never even heard of Deda so it must be rubbish ;)
In un mondo sempre piu banale e conventionale Deda Elementi reclama il suo modo di pensare e fare i componenti per le biciclette da competizione...

Profile are a bunch of yanks who wear their caps back to front and haven't outgrown their BMXs ;-)

Reckon there are at least 3 pro teams on Deda. Can't recall any on Vision?? Pro-ness is the main thing...

Of course Enve also make good tri bars Martyn

And if you check this video you will see they are also using an Enve handlebar

https://vimeo.com/9653206

If you buy the handlebar or watch the video too closely I suspect Lois might have some issues though
Lovely hipster video Tony. Rather liking the sub £100 options rather than Enve though!
Forget the tri bars, Lois has signed off on a Vuela Velo. Unfortunately it seems to be for her.
