Hi Lucy,

As Laura said the 10 reserve spots will go a long way to covering any late comers wanting to take part at CP.

But in addition I am working on a recommended race calendar for 2015 and plan to include a few suited towards first time racers in addition to the London league, age group qualifiers, club champs/relays etc.

Hoping to have the race calendar online in a few weeks so watch this space!

Windsor Olympic Triathlon on the 25th June 2015!! I've already entered & I think I will need as much club support as possible,  Especially after the swim stage ;-) . Anyone who has witnessed my swimming on a Friday night at JAGS will understand :-)

I vote for Hever (or another of the castle series) and CP! Thanks

CP & Hever were amazing! They get my vote

CP: Correct Sprint Distance, swimming pool based (no wetsuit investment needed), closed roads for the bike course and 10 minutes from Herne Hill. Perfect for beginners and newbies!!!! AND you may even have the honour of having Dr S BBQ-ing for you!!!

Hever: End of the season so would not clash with any other races. Plenty of chances to go and try the bike course beforehand. Beautiful setting!

Both suitable for Adults and Juniors. Can't ask for more. Those are my votes! J

My vote goes for a repeat of this year.

-Locations are nice and close and allow for easy transport and support.

-Great for juniors.

-Nice number of months to train between sprint and olympic.

Keep the same as this year
For the sprint, Thorpe tri has a great series of sprint races. The swim is around Thorpe park (clean and not too cold). http://thorpetriathlon.com Not sure if they have a junior race.

BUMP!

I'd definitely vote for Hever - consistent course allows a nice comparison vs last year, easyish location for South Londoners (the other Castle Series events are in Chester, York, France & Ireland!) - as a newbie to the club, the Windrush gang at the finish line was a great way to finish the season.

I wasn't a member for CP this year, but it's nice and local, and good timing for an early season race.

Hever and CP for all the reasons mentioned above. However, Hever is a bit late in the season and I like the sound of Thorpe tri - maybe consider for 2016?

CP: who wouldn't want to run around a giant greenhouse ....

Is there Olympic distance at Thorpe?

In terms of travelling, not a world of diff between Thorpe and Dorney - the latter we know is unoily (sic) and off road. Was Thorpe shared with waterskiers?

Easy enough to recce Thorpe - the Shepperton route plus 3-4k.
