Hi mtb lovers

Low and behold I love my mtb more than I love my road bike. It upsets me greatly that I don't get to ride it enough, so I'm proposing a trip to the motherland over the next few months to try out the amazing bike park wales, and should we make a weekend of it, perhaps hit another trail centre further west too.

There are options for complete newbies to full face demons, bikes are available to hire, and they also do coaching days which we could take advantage of.

Very much an idea at this stage, but would be great to get a few people along to glorious Wales either in convoy/minibus/train for the weekend.

It's had fantastic reviews and I've been desperate to go for a long time, so let meek now if you would like to come along.

Guys there is nothing against us doing this later in the year, but I think the dates get trickier with people who have booked into tris.  For May/June I only have Hyde park so far. Very open to suggestions if more people would want to come along but later in the year...

Hi Beth!

Sounds lkike a great idea and I am definitely to be been involved. I should be pretty flexible on dates so let me know what the consensus is. Thanks!

Pierre

Hi Beth,

I'm still keen.  The only weekend I maybe unable to do is Easter.  I maybe be away.

I'm happy to drive too.

Thanks

Malcolm

Hi Beth, thanks for getting the ball rolling with this - fab! I'm still keen and would be happy to go with the majority re coaching/ no coaching. I'm not a total beginner either, done Glen Tress a few times and other singletrack every now and again, but am hardly ever on a mountain bike these days. I'm a bit limited on dates but I'd be up for March 6th-8th or the 17th-19th April if it works out better to go then. If not, I'll sit this one out and sign up for (I hope!) round 2!!

Susan

Thanks guys! I'll leave this up on the forum for a wee while later to see if any others are keen then we'll knuckle down some dates. I did the evans ride it cyclocross sportive yesterday, the best workout I've had in ages!! I.e. I was ruined! They're great fun with two route lengths and you can use mtb's if you have them. I did an 80km and was ready to get off the bike by the end. Brilliant!

Hi Beth,

I will have a +1. I fly to New Zealand tomorrow to go mountain biking for a month if my family lets me.

So I'll be off the radar for a bit. I'm happy to go with the flow. Likely to mtb in the bank holidays anyway.

I've got a spot in Afan forest where I when camping the last two bank holidays.

I'll be back just in time for the awards party.

See you there.

Thanks

There are a couple of bank holidays coming up. Anyone keen head over to Wales?

Yes defo !! let me sort my diary/ life/ work thing out and ill be back to you to confirm.

Depends which bank holiday but up for a wales trip

I know it's a bit short notice. I was thinking May Day. I'm keen for a bit of camping.

I've got the Tour of Wessex on the other.

Hi Guys , Sorry I cant do the first bank holiday in May, I've got previous engagements booked in with non sporty friends.

Free for the second Bank Holiday. Shall we get something in the diary for June/ July for a roadtrip ?

Cheers

Likewise have plans for the first bank holiday weekend
