As has become customary over the last few years I am organising a coach to ferry people to and from the race.  As we have learned from bitter experience, this is much better (and cheaper) than travelling by public transport which can be unreliable on Sundays - plus it's loads more fun and has been known to be followed by drinks and pizza!

There will be two pick-ups - one from Brockwell Lido and one from Tooting Bec Lido - to arrive in plenty of time for registration and pre-race warm-up.  Return will be around 3 hours after gun-time to allow plenty of time for completion of the race.

If you haven't done Fleet before, it's a great event and a lovely course (largely flat but slightly undulating in places!) and very popular with around 5000 participants.  Click on this link to enter http://fleethalfmarathon.com/

If you would like a place on the coach please respond to this post so I can book the right sized coach.

Thanks!

Caroline

Just a gentle nudge...please RSVP if you're popping along for pizza. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

It'll be helpful to make sure we have a big enough table.  Thanks!

I'm planning on coming down to support you all, just as long as the little one behaves herself! :)
OMG amazing!!!! Will Edith come too?
Yeah, hopefully :) x
Due to a very annoying foot injury I am not going to run tomorrow, on doctor's orders :-(

So Charles - thank you for the offer of a lift but someone else can have it if they need it!

Good luck runners! I will still try and join you later for a totally undeserved pizza.
Really sorry to hear. Fingers crossed for a quick heal. See you for pizza.

Great run on Sunday at the Fleet Half Marathon, with Phoebe (first one!), Anya, Lucy, Laura, Neil, Caroline, Robin, Ian and Heather. Nice cool weather, gently undulating course through the town and surrounding countryside and villages, and good support from the locals. Neil was the first Windy home in 1:32, with Lucy hot on his heels.

Thanks for the photo Charles. And well done everyone on achieving their goals for the race, and for Jayne and Edith supporting.

Well done everyone, great results!

I've just seen the results....Lucy was so fast she was 19th woman overall!!  Amazing achievement! And also the first Windrush home in 1:31:56!!! Phenominal!

Sorry Lucy, Neil was hot on YOUR heals, not vice versa! Great run.
