Beginners and all welcome to join ride on Sunday 28th to open water swim at Shepperton
Emily Robinson and I are biking to Shepperton Lake this Sunday to meet my friend and much-loved former Windrush coach Ellie Alexander for an open water swim and picnic afterwards by the lake! All are welcome.
The ride there will be chat (easy) pace and my non-triathlete (normal person) friend Rachael will be joining us on her bike too.
People new to riding and open water swimming are very welcome. We can give you some tips on group riding and open water swimming but this is a social outing not a coached session so it's all about having fun and chilling out!
No experience necessary! But you have to bring a contribution to the picnic :-)
Meet at the Lido at 7am for roll out at 7.10am. Shepperton is about 15 miles away so we are allowing plenty of time for punctures, admiring baby rabbits and getting ready to swim when we get there! Aiming to be in the water by 10am or earlier.
Post below if you'd like to come! No obligation to swim if you just want to ride, or equally, you could meet us there to swim/picnic if you like.
