Am I allowed to name people if they don't shout up!? I know at least a couple of Windies with big races this weekend ;). Good luck guys!

Hi Becky - I'm doing the Blenheim Palace this Sunday.

There's a group racing at Deva Triathlon, Chester this Sunday - Charles, Saffron, Deborah, Ben D, myself and Becky (that's YOU!) We will tag some pics!

next weekend for me, not sure I'd go as far as calling it racing though... ;)

The race season is truly upon us and big shout out to all those who raced this weekend (that I know of...sorry if I missed you)

Deva = Luke Kevan (Middle), Ben Dolman, Charles Barclay, Deborah Lloyd (who won her age group!!), Nick Flower, Saffron and becky g (me!)

Blenheim = Lydia Levy (second tri ever!!! big congrats!)

The Hurt 10k = Andrew Bowmer

Well done to everyone - hope you had lots of fun racing (even if it did hurt!)!! **lots of clapping**

Congratulations to Deborah for winning her age group at Deva Triathlon and Beckie for coming second in hers.Woohoo! Nick came 8th in his super-competitive 25-29 age group with a scorching time of 2:06:53, Saffron came 18th in her age group in a time of 2:34:51 (she was racing 'easy' with the ETU middle distance championships coming up this weekend) and I came 12th in the old crocks division (55-59) with 2:21:03. A wonderful event and a great day of racing for all the Windrush contingent.

How did the other WR racers get on this weekend?

Both Becky and Deborah take an automatic qualification spot for the World Champs in Rotterdam. Well done! The rest of us will wait a possible roll down or are attending the other 2 qualifiers at Ripon and Arundel in July for the Olympic distance.

Deva was the best organised race I have been to. Also thoroughly enjoyed the company over the weekend. Thanks all!

Amazing!!  Well done guys :-)

Well done all! I hope it was fun ... and not too much pain.... all round!

Deva was very well organised and well supported. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done all.

Sadly I didn't get much chance to see the fellow Windrushers as much as I wanted (I loved the support from Debroah and Charles after the swim though). As it's my home town race I had the all important mum duties to attend too.

I've done that race 4 times now and can tell you the age-groups were particularly competitive this year!
So the other Windies deserve even more credit for doing so well!

To put it into perspective, last year I came 69th overall (9th in my age group), this year I improved my time by 12 MINUTES! and came 211th overall (30th in age group).

Congratulations everyone!  It is all very inspiring.  Legends!!

That shows the effect of being an ITU qualifying race Ben. All the fast people turn up to race.
