Never quite find the time to do all of those exercises you know you should be doing? Or not quite sure what you should be doing anyway? Pick up injuries too often? Not into weights but want to get stronger?

These Tuesday evening sessions, running on alternative weeks with the velodrome, will help build your stability, mobility and strength.  

A typical session will include:

  • Warm-up and Mobility work - learn the types of exercises you should be doing before training and racing. 
  • Strength and stability work - learn a range of body weight exercises which are designed to build strength and stability in muscle groups critical to good triathlon performance. 
  • Core exercises - without a sit up in sight!
  • Drills that will build your coordination and muscles memory 
What it is not:
A generic HIIT session that you can do in your local gym. Or a weights based session. You will (probably!) not be dripping in sweat by the end of this session but you will be working the muscles key to triathlon performance. 
 
Meeting:
We'll meet  by the little hut round the back of Brockwell Hall, up in the centre of the park (so you can see the tennis courts). PLEASE sign in if you're coming so I can bring the right amount of kit. 
 
What you need to bring:
Enough clothes that you don't get cold. Some of the work will be on the floor so you might want to bring a mat or something to lie on. There's a hut to leave bags at your own risk. but if you're joining the social run after then make it something you can carry easily.

I've got skipping ropes ready and waiting for you! Rain due to start again in the evening so dress warmly, but hopefully winds will have dropped down.

Looks like the weather will ease up... after some very high winds predicted over the next couple of hours. Hopefully I will make it back in from Ascot!!

In answer to the inevitable question, yes, we're still on, even if it's tipping down. I wouldn't blame you in the slightest if you cancel but please update your attendance so I can plan the session. I won't make you roll around in the mud but we will be outside so dress accordingly. There's a hut where you can dump your bags at your own risk.
