Beckenham charity trail 10k [& post-race social] from your new Run Captain!

Hey team, a perennial Windies favourite is just round the corner - both physically and in terms of timing.

Can we have a show of hands here. Also suggestions for a pub-lunch afterwards.

If you have a UKA licence there’s a discount to the race fee.

Date is Sunday Nov 12th 11:02 am

With Alex and Ben we have the makings of a really strong Men’s team!

Anyone else - Nick F, Justin are you around ?

Sorry I have a coaching course all weekend - it keeps conflicting with all the XC races! Have done it a few times before and really recommend - as everyone says a good local race, nice course and great atmosphere/support! Good luck everyone!

Signed up :D

It's all about the ladies team whooop!!

ANd there’s the Gauntlett thrown down chaps !
Well it is of no use to your search for a “strong” men’s team whatsoever Lloyd, but I’ve made the somewhat “brave” decision to enter and jog round

There better be plenty of those delicious home made cakes left by the time I finish or there will be hell on ;-)
I’ve signed up too! Today’s painful Edinburgh 10km may setve to be the perfect preparation!

I've just entered !

Everyone should enter! It's super fun! Take a look at last years action (looking pretty warm then...)

Based on thread responses [including the 2016 post] we have 9 men and 7 ladies running.

I've asked Beckenham if they publish the entry list and so I can check we are all entered as Windrush - last year we missed out on a trophy as one of our runners wasn't registered correctly!

Show of hands re social -

a) shower at their clubhouse and lunch in Beckenham

or

b) get home and shower and have a later lunch/debrief in HH?

and I'll look to book somewhere.

suggest we meet at the Lido around 9:00am to cycle gently down there beforehand.

c. shower at clubhouse and head straight to HH for lunch via train

thanks lloyd

p.s. will be catching the train over there from HH before if anyone wants to join

D spend enough time eating delicious cakes at cricket club HQ then try to see if you are still able to walk before doing anything else
