Borrow 4 bike car rack & recommendations for cleaner in Herne Hill/Brixton area

Heya Windrush Family,

Wanted to ask two favours if you don't mind?

Three buddies and I are heading to Belguim over the Easter long weekend for the Tour of Flanders. We're hoping to find some kind person that might have a 4x bike car rack they would be willing to lend us?

Secondly, does anyone have an amazing home cleaner they could recommend?

Wouldnt it be easier to hire a cheap van with extra seats?

Having cracked a bone in the elbow getting a bike off a roof rack after Sussex tri bike course im lot less fond of roof racks but slotting a load of bikes on top is a pain in the neck at best and if you want to stop for something to eat also more anxiety inducing...

Hi Colin,

I may be able to lend you 2 or 3 Thule bike racks for the roof (I have four but may be using one or two of them myself for the Easter weekend). They are the kind that secure the bike by the front forks, so the front wheels have to go inside the car. The racks slot in to Thule roof bars, so you will need to have these or a similar type for the bike racks to work. I also have a tailgate bike rack that can take two bikes. It is a bit of a fiddle to set up, but works well once you have it securely in place.

Guys thanks so much for getting back to me.

Tony, ferry pass was purchased a while ago so we're locked into the VW Passat / bike rack combo.

Charles, thank you kindly for that offer. I'll WhatsApp you a little closer to the time and see where things are at. Have got conventional roof racks on the Passat so probably still need to get my hands on the actual Thule Rack. Am also in negotiations with a hire place also so will let you know.

Paul,  appreciate the offer of the cleaner. She must be an amazing woman, no doubt!! Maybe PM or WhatsApp me the details when you can dig them up.
