Next Sunday is Dulwich Paragon's annual sportive ride in aid of the Lavender Trust, the breast cancer charity.

Those of you who have done this ride before know that it is very well organised, supported and sign-posted. There are two alternative routes of either 60k or 100k - and you can choose which one to do on the day. I'm going to be pootling round but if you are looking for some stiff competition you'll be able to find it at the front of the field ;)

It starts from Herne Hill velodrome and I'd like to suggest we meet up there at around 9?

These are the routes

So far there are only two Windrushers registered - we should be able to get more than this?? But you will have to be quick as entires close at the end of the month or when they reach 500 (and they have over 450 already)

Love too Tony, especially if you're getting out there. But its my birthday and have my family from Oz over... fingers and toes it breaks tradition and doesn't lash it down!! See you soon, Sx

Unfortunately I'll be tootling down the maresme coast on the 2nd (Challenge Barcelona). The ROTFL looks like a great event. I did the long course with the Dulwich Paragon last Saturday - it's a fantastic ride, enjoy! It's definately on my list for next year.

I've also ridden the long route many times and can vouch for how great a course it is.  It's not a particularly fast course with 3 or 4 decent climbs and lots of steady drags but goes through some lovely villages.  Important we get some Windrushers involved to spread the love and to also support Dulwich Paragon

I'm signed up too, although will be taking it fairly easy with a friend who's new to road riding. 9 sounds good for starting - see you at the velodrome.

Cheers

Dan

John - how many of these ironman (registered trademark etc etc ) races are you doing this year? I reckon that makes three and I want to know what you are eating for breakfast!

Hi Tony,

I'd love to do it and ride again with you guys but I'm away next weekend. See you soon hopefully

Frank

John "the Machine" Scotter is on for race no 5 of ironman distance this year

Impressive feat

Far from impressive mate. I just hate training, constant events are my warped approach to avoiding it :-)

You mean you hate training with us.....hmmmmm......
SmartAss. I'm all about the quality not the quantity - Windrush track & spin sessions are definitely quality!

Who has signed up for this?  I am going to forgo the pleasure of live world cup rugby on Sunday morning with the help of sky plus to do the ride of the falling leaves

What distances are people doing and are we all going to get out in our Windrush colours?

Also, weather is looking good coming into the weekend so fingers crossed

So far four of us,- Dan, Colin, Paul and myself. There's four from Crystal Palace tri so ....

Much better for you than watching rugby!
