Bike park wales
Low and behold I love my mtb more than I love my road bike. It upsets me greatly that I don't get to ride it enough, so I'm proposing a trip to the motherland over the next few months to try out the amazing bike park wales, and should we make a weekend of it, perhaps hit another trail centre further west too.

There are options for complete newbies to full face demons, bikes are available to hire, and they also do coaching days which we could take advantage of.
Very much an idea at this stage, but would be great to get a few people along to glorious Wales either in convoy/minibus/train for the weekend.
It's had fantastic reviews and I've been desperate to go for a long time, so let meek now if you would like to come along.

Neil and I would be up for that Beth! My mountain bike doesn't see much action either! I'm not experienced (Neil is) but I'd love to give it a go and I love Wales. Neil will be totally focused on Ironman next year but I'm sure we could squeeze this in plus a bit of lake swimming!

This park looks great.
I try to spend all my long weekends in Wales with my mountain bike.
I'll be up for any trips. But not in December. I'm in New Zealand where my best bike is.
Also if your keen I hit the Surrey Hills a bit.

Great to see so much interest! Keep it coming- I'll be getting in touch with BPW to see if they can offer us a deal.

Hi all
I've been in touch with BPW and they are really keen to see us at the park, so I would like to get some dates together.
There is an option for a coached session at £75. This will need to be a group of 6- can extend if there is more interest- and includes morning coaching and then uplift service for the afternoon. Bike hire not included.
If people are keen we should make a weekend of this and we'll discuss options depending on budgets- probably head up on Friday afternoon/evening in cars if possible, BPW Saturday, meal and bevvies Sat night in Cardiff, then if people are keen head EITHER towards Swansea to do some of the amazing trails near there (which will be free- but you'll need to think about bike hire), or there are some excellent trails in the Forest of Dean too- heading back to London Sun late afternoon.
This can be a trip for experts and complete beginners, and those like me, in between! Happy to arrange digs/transport if people are 100% committed.
Weekend options:
March 6th- 8th
April 3rd-5th
April 17th-19th
OR my personal choice- May bank holiday weekend

March 6th - 8th or April the 3rd -5th are preferable. Have a race on the May bank holiday weekend, could potentially do the 17th - 19th April sure I have plans but can not remember what or have anything in a calendar, will check with the other half!
Agree will be good to make a weekend of it and make the most of the trails whilst out of London. Happy to drive limited space for either bikes or peoples.

I'm leaning towards April- warmer and hopefully less mucky- and longer daylight hours.
Wait to hear from the others and new interested people.
IMPORTANT- please let me know if you want to come just to ride- or you are interested in the coached session too. Either is fine but I need numbers. Prices for general entry/uplift are on BPW website.
Once I have a keen group of people we'll take this off the forum and onto email which is slightly easier.

Hi Beth,
The only day I can do on those proposed dates is May Bank Holiday. So if the majority and ideal weekend is for March or April I will understand. OK OK I might sulk a bit ;-)
