Hi All, the annual Windrush Aquathlon will br on Sunday 28 June next year so please save the date! In the meantime there will be some organising to do. If you are interested in helping out in the lead up to the event please could you let me know. We'll be looking to have a working group meeting in January to start the planning.

Ahahaha I just sent you an email about this! Obviously I'm keen :-)

Will we have a London League team of 3 men and 3 women allowed to compete? Other clubs do it for their own events e.g. Crystal Palace. Use something like a couple of parkruns as qualifiers.

That sounds like it could be a great idea. We usually allow 10 newbies to race, as we REALLY need 40+ volunteers on the day and only almost make it each time. Maybe we can split the race places 6 to newbies and 6 to LL team so as not to detract from volunteer numbers.

Or we could just take the points that the newbies get to be fair. I don't think we're going to win the LL but by getting 6 athletes at each event we'll do way better than last year. And it's good to let new people race at the Aquathlon

Im assuming I would already be involved for Sponsorships & Goodie bags for the event, as that part of my role on the committee.

Yes I have scheduled my morning out for Windrush on the day of the event.  

Ahh yes - thats fab!

Alright, alright... count me in to organise volunteers on the day...

Done it twice, why not a third time?

I'm in to help on the sub committee, obviously!
