I am planning to ride to Brighton this Saturday, have lunch on the beach and ride back again in case anyone wants to join. Will be leaving the lido at 8am, circa four hours each way.

I would have liked to but I cant do Saturday.  Planning to do a ride Sunday though.

I could be up for that. What route do you follow?

Me too, but I will take the train back ;)

can't do Saturday ;( would be up for it on sunday

I was thinking of taking the scenic route down as per the Windrush spring Brighton ride ie starting on the Falling Leaves route, then via East Grinstead, Bluebell railway and Ditchling Beacon. It is beautiful and there is less traffic. Back on the direct route via Turners Hill, Redhill, Croydon and Crystal Palace.

Sam / Jake As I am new to the club would love to get out for a ride on Sunday to get to know people. I have about 3/4 hours, leaving early(ish). Just tell me where to meet and what time.

Thanks Charles
sounds good to me

Hey Barny, I dont know the route to brighton and I dont have a GPS thing or a sense of direction so I was planning on going to Windsor with a loop around there and back where I vaguely know the way/can wing it.  You are very welcome to join.  I can meet you at the lido at 8? I'm not the fastest cyclist but hopefully not too slow either! Or if you know the route to brighton happy to change route but I cant lead!

I'd be keen on Brighton or if not was planning on doing Surrey, going through Richmond, Esher, Epsom etc. I sort of know a route but can swat up on it anyway, doing Ride London in August so want to do some longish rides around there.

Jake, I'll PM you as I think its getting confusing with the sunday plans on the saturday stream!  Any other sunday people message me!

Random heads up for an open water stop off at Forest Row - literally on route. Open 'til 11.30 on Saturday, not Sunday:

Could do, as you say we go right past Weir Wood Reservoir, but it would then involve carrying swimming stuff with us and would make it a very long day for those riding back from Brighton to London. Also, peleton needs to conserve energy for hors Categorie climb le Col de Ditchling!
