8 July Represent Brockwell Lido at 80th birthday celebration gala CAKE OPPORTUNITY!!!
Brockwell Lido opened 80 years ago in 1937 (I remember it like yesterday)
To celebrate on 8 July there is a swim gala organised against the dodgy North Londoners who lurk at Parliament Hill Lido.
Lido Mike is organising the age group based Lido team for races 100m and 50m freestyle and 50m Breaststroke and Butterfly
Crucially cake IS on offer yet Mike tells me he has a few spaces to fill (and this is more about taking part than winning this time folks)

Mike is still looking for volunteers and it would be good for the club to support our home Lido in this celebration. We rely on the good will of the Lido for most of our junior and adult sessions and it would be good to fly the club as well as the lido flag.
Plus of course we do actually have some good swimmers in the club!

Spoke to Mike yesterday at the Junior swim session.
He's still looking for a few volunteers and it really is the taking part that counts here (although we obviously don't want the Lido outswum by a bunch of dodgy north Londoners)
