End of Year Party - Windrush Annual Awards

Hi all,

Re: End of Year Party – Windrush Annual Awards

After a fantastic triathlon / multi-sport season, it’s time to celebrate and recognise this year’s achievements. Continuing on from last year, Windrush will be holding its Annual Awards Ceremony at the End of Year Party (details below). Along with the Club Championship Awards, we will be giving out three other awards which are open for nominations.

The rules for nominating are as follows:

  1. To nominate both you and the person you nominate must be club member.
  2. You can nominate yourself
  3. Each nomination has to be accompanied with a short explanation for the nomination
  4. Nominations must be in by 17.00 on Saturday, 19th January 2019.

The Awards will be handed out at the Windrush End of Year Party (Masquerade Black Tie) on Saturday, 26th January at Off the Cuff (Herne Hill).

Winners will also be listed in the February newsletter. Click here to nominate, the categories are below:

Windrush Award 2018

This award is Windrush’s special achievement award. It’s for someone that has done something pretty amazing this year, either competing or racing or doing something remarkable for the sport in general. It doesn’t have to be someone who’s an exceptional athlete – just someone who deserves some recognition.

Best Newcomer 2018

This can only be awarded to a club member who joined this year. They should be someone who has already become a really important member of the club and is very enthusiastic about triathlon and the club in general.

Wacky Racer Award

This is an award to recognise someone that might have an unusual style of or attitude to training or racing, or someone that has an 'interesting' race ritual that they have to ensure a good result.

A Newsflash has gone out about this too.

Thanks

Matt & Nicola
