Windrush & GDPR – Yes, it impacts us too

No doubt, you are all well aware of the new GDPR legislation that comes into effect tomorrow, 25th May 2018, which updates the rules on how your personal data will be handled and how organisations are able to contact you. The Committee has been working hard to ensure all our platforms and processes operate in accordance with the new legislation.

A new Privacy Policy has been developed and can be viewed here:  https://windrushtri.co.uk/s/WindrushTriClub_PrivacyPolicy.pdf
Updated Terms & Conditions can be found here:

What do I need to do?

Shortly, when you login to MyClubhouse you will be asked to read and acknowledge our new Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions and answer questions asking if you want to receive the following types of group communication email from us (More detail about each category can be found in the Privacy Policy):

  • General Interest & Newsletters
  • Promotions & Third-party Marketing

Key changes you should be aware of

  • Historically the Club has used the Forum to store important Personal Data such as medical history and emergency contact details. Since the implementation of MyClubhouse all Personal Data has been removed from the Forum, the only information remaining is required to authenticate members on the Forum. This information will not be used by the Club for any purpose other than that.
  • A detailed process surrounding the deletion/anonymising of Personal Data is in the Privacy Policy. Please read it.

As always, please let us know about any questions you may have.

Thank you,
The Committee
