Unfortunately I won't be able to race tonight. I hit my foot on the ridge in the deep end last night and thought nothing of it, but my foot is swollen so I won't be able to race.
Can you say good luck to all the windrushers tonight! Have a good race.
I've been alright so far ( touch wood) but have been a bit tired. Did 40.52 in the end (they heavily messed up the timing so i emailed them etc..). Well done on dipping under 50 that's a really good swim!
Hi Laura, thanks for friend request. Am currently out of action with slipped disk/sciatica; bloody agony and of course a complete spanner in the works for June events, probably July too. Hope to be back on the bike (gently) in a week or so, running may take a bit longer. Bummer. Anyway, hope you are well and might see you at the brunch picnic on Saturday if the weather is good. Thanks Laura and abject apologies! Have just put it through on PayPal. Hope the club do well at Crystal Palace this year - would be there to support but doing Strathclyde instead this w/e.
Thanks Laura! Pre-race nerves are upon me and I'm getting pretty excited. I'm flying out on Wednesday, but Tony's out there already getting acclimatised, the lucky sod!
So, being blonde now, I've lost track of time and it turns out I'm entered into a tri this weekend in Gloucester... wondering if the club kit has arrived?
Hi Laura. I see a few people have dropped out of spin for this evening. System doesn't let me sign up, but if I could get a spot that would be fab! Thanks.
Hi Laura. Hope you're well. I can't believe the Wednesday spin is full up already - I missed the boat the last few weeks. If people do drop out before the session, it would be great if I could get a spot.... Also, any talk of splitting the session into run and spin? Thanks! Siobhan.
I have joined again now. If I'm doing the Club start at Crystal Palace am I meant to wear the club kit? don't have one and I see it may be too late to buy the tri suit.
At what time would the start club be? I've some friends who are planning on spectating whilst I am racing and I had indicated that I would probably start some time around 11am... Not sure they'd be up for a crack of dawn start!
Starting the Crystal Palace tri with the Windrush clubbers? err, not sure I'm really up to that speed yet, worried about getting in the way of the man in speedos behind me! Still, if you insist, but be warned, I usually collapse just after the swim section and crawl to my bike

Hi Laura,
Is it possible for non members to come along to track sessions?
thanks,
Jon
Thanks - just seen your comment about the events.
Next thing is to get the Xmas party event sorted....
No problem Laura, there was great support around the running track from quite a few windrushers who were still about and cheering away.
Really happy with my time considering it was my first olympic distance race would you believe.
Congrats to you, i see you came in 4th in your category which you must be really pleased about

Nope, 'fraid not. The section to allow me to RSVP is missing.... Sorry! Thanks.

I think I'll stick with my current choice and start with the field.
