I'm happy to help too - with either old school laminating or electronic systems.

In the meantime, could I just check if I've understood correctly?
Is the idea that members should take a screen-grab, or otherwise save the emailed PDF into the photo library of their smartphone? Mine is regularly-automatically uploaded and wiped, so I'd need to access Google Drive online. Or I might just print it out if that's acceptable? Or is the email the thing we will need to show for proof of membership?

My feedback on the order process is that it would be helpful if there were an explaination at the start of the process - about the payment process itself and the membership token. It might help reduce queries to the Committee.

Do we still have membership numbers that we will be asked to write on the session sheets? Sorry, I haven't been to a session in a while, so maybe that's all changed?

I will get the membership officer to respond to the questions so that the responses are accurate. I would hope to have this done within 7 days.

If there is a more pressing need to use physical membership cards or specific 2017 membership numbers in that time please let us know. You will be able to attend training sessions and Windrush events in the interim.

A few things about membership cards:

  • they are only needed to gain access to the Saturday morning lido session and to show to our partners for discount (this hasn't changed from previous years)
  • once the membership payment has been processed you will be sent your welcome pack and digital membership card
  • if you prefer a physical card just reply to the welcome email and you will be sent one
  • your membership number remains the same from previous years (if you have forgotten just email)
  • any problems saving to your device just email back also (we are super helpful)

This is a trial and if the consensus is that members prefer having a physical card then we will of course switch back! But we need to try new things to see what works and doesn't and learn :)

I've signed up as a new member (hello!) and received a confirmation email but no pdf membership card? Is there anything else I need to do to get it?
