Talking of awsome race results, a little bird tells me that you WON your age group at the nationals this weekend Becky; is this right? In which case the award for most awesome Windrush athlete looks headed your way, with the other half of the Flower/Goodwin power couple following closely having come 5th in his age group. Amazing results! Well done guys.

Thanks Charles.

Indeed, we have a new British AG Champion in Windrush! Becky did an amazing effort on a very tough course, strong winds and lots of hill running before getting to the city centre! Finishing 1st in the 30-34 AG and 6th overall female.

I managed 4th in the 25-29 AG but was spent on the last half of the run. However it was enough to qualify for the World Champs Gold Coast 2018 too.

Matt Curry was also out on the course and saw he did pretty well too - congratulations!!

We also saw Lara up there doing an awesome job as a race official. Thanks from us! She also got to be an official for the Elites swim we heard. Anyone spot her on tv?!

Awesome racing by everyone and big congrats Becky - AG UK champ!

Re Steph, it's a choice, he's always ridden on a fixie, he's got a 53-17 ratio (I think), so lots of power when he gets going. Uphill is ok although he has to get off the saddle a lot, downhill he has to slow down, he can't keep pedalling at 50km/h... ;) I think he did 28km/h average over 80km course that was very tough and hilly. He's a swimming instructor and he did the 1.9 in 25mins or so and he finished 29th out of 488, second overall in 45-49 AG.

Something to aim for eh... ;)

I raced in Bristol this weekend and was signed in at registration by a former Windrush'er who's on the comittee at BAD Tri  - she says hello to the club...but I've forgotten her name!

Welldone everyone else! Amazing results from Leeds.

Congrats to you and Becky, you both smashed it! Did you stick around to watch the Elites?
