After previously shunning SwimSerpentine as I thought it would be a bun fight and overpriced, I've now seemingly got sucked in by the thought of a "special medal" for those who have also done the London marathon and RideLondon!!! https://www.swimserpentine.co.uk/news-media/latest-news/london-mara...

Did anyone else get the email today about this and is thinking of entering for the 2 mile (miles!!! I had to google how far that was...) swim to complete the "London Classics" triple via the email link? Or is anyone else signed up for any of the other swims? Its on Saturday 16 September.

brilliant!

Sadly they'll struggle to find my Ride London result given that I jumped in on the Highway.. next year perhaps :)

I did it last year and it was actually a really well-run, fun event! Am definitely considering signing up for this year!
This sounds amazing! I'm doing London marathon next year but this year'/ Serpentine swim comes just a week before my Berlin marathon - not sure if wise thing to do this year. Will think about it but thanks for sharing! Apparently you can do swim, run, ride in any order.

Tempting, but it's quite pricey

It is...considering its a not for profit company especially! I've read that after costs, 100% of the profits go to the London Marathon Charitable Trust. http://www.lmct.org.uk/about/how-we-operate/. That makes me feel better about it. I hope its more than 10p!

Its more expensive than the marathon!! However, I am very tempted...their marketing ploy is strong! I think if you are lucky enough to have got a place in the marathon, which seems impossible for some, then that's most of the battle.

I don't think an hour's swimming will affect your marathon. Unless you get sick or dislocate your shoulder or something totally weird!!

I'm a slow swimmer! Will stick to Berlin training this year, but will definitely try to do these three races next year. And you should do this year! Medal with Latin engraving! :)
