Hi Guys,

I'm heading out to Shepperton on Saturday morning for some ows before Sussex. If you would like to ride over, meet at the cafe in Richmond Park at 7:30am - let me know below! When we get to the zoomy bike bits I'll be pushing the pace a bit for training (we can re-group!), otherwise it will be medium pace.

See you there!

Heya Laura, count me in! Which Cafe, the one near Roehampton Gate?
Shepperton was lovely this morning and two laps of the smaller buoy marked route is 1500m so good practise for Sussex.
Yes the Roehampton Gate cafe. Where is the other one?
Tony, I think you mean 2 laps of the larger loop is 1500m. The larger loop with the smaller buoys of course :-)
Yep the larger loop with the smaller buoys

As opposed to the smaller loop with the larger buoys ;-)

Lots of fish in the lake but no sign of crocodiles or sharks so not much use for Lofoten or Cancun based triathlons

There again the water at Sussex tri is actual Holy Water so perhaps we should practise walking on the water not swimming?

I thought there was a cafe on the other side, near the carpark, but I could be wrong as I have never used it!
Anyway no stress, see you at the Roehampton Gate cafe @ 7:30. I've got lunch plans so also keen to get "zoomy" on the cycle where appropriate.

I think you are thinking about Pembroke Lodge which is a Grade 2 Georgian listed building with views out over Surrey on the far side of the park. They have posh weddings in there sometimes.0

We usually meet at the Roehampton Gate cafe which is a wooden hut with views of Roehampton Estate - but it does have lots of places to lean your bike and you can get low calorie chocolate cake and cream in there.

I'll probably join you too. See you at the cafe.

There's a small cafe at Pen Ponds if you're cutting through the middle of the park instead of going on the main road all the way around.

Anyone else keen other than Colin and Claire post up tonight! Your name doesn't need to begin with a C to come along!
