I have some workmates doing this event in 2018 (entries are already open).

I was wondering if anyone has done this event in the past and if they have an opinion on whether it is well organised? easy enough to get to by train from London? and whether anyone else from the club is considering it (maybe to share accommodation)?

Thanks

Yes, one of the best races I have done in the UK for an Olympic distance. A group of us went up for the Worlds qualifier this year so speak with any of us - Debs, Charles, Saffron, Becky, myself. It's a race run entirely by the Chester tri club so the support around the course is great. It gets some of the top feedback on races in the UK so very well organised.

It's a qualifier again this year so I am sure some other Windrushers may be going up too.

Train is quite easy but you need to remember to book on your bike slot. Driving by car is around 4(ish) hours.

It's the best race I have done I think! Such lovely people supporting and organising! Very simple format which makes a very stress free race and the location is very pretty!

Hi Justin,

Definitely one of my favourites. I'm originally from round that part of the world and have done this race every year for the last 4 years. It's an excuse to pop up and see my mum too (like a good son).

Unfortunately for accommodation i'll be staying outside of Chester at my mums again this year but I think Nick... stayed in a good place last year which might help. It was very central.

Thanks for the input guys. Sounds like a great race and definitely one to look forward to in 2018
