Looking forward to cold, clear, crisp autumnal weather on Sunday, perfect for a long ride to Brighton and part way back (120km or thereabouts). If you fancy joining, we will be leaving Cadence at 9am, heading down to Brighton via Ditchling Beacon, riding along the sea front to Hove, then back over Devils Dike for lunch at Dolly's in Ditchling before taking the train home from Haywards Heath. Pace will be 25-27kph and hills a-plenty.

Since I'm a glutton for punishment I'd like to hang on to your coat tails as long as I can tomorrow.  See you at Cadence at 9!

Cheers

Charles, Colin,

I will come along!

See you tomorrow.

Fran

Great ride to Brighton in perfect weather with Nick, Becky, Paul, Alex, Deborah, Colin, Fran and Russell. Fish and chips place on the beach now has radiant heaters, so at least your head stays warm while sitting outside. I produced paper maps to discuss the route on to Haywards Heath, much to the amusement of younger members of the ride. They say: get with the programme! I say: Garmin Schmarmin!

Great Ride! Loved the paper maps, you can trust someone with paper maps! They don't run out of battery!

Charles and gang many thanks for a fantastic ride yesterday.  I now understand the secret to why Charles races so well. Relieve the nearest museum or their antique topographical maps, compasses & sextants during training and you will notice the power to weight ratio bump when it counts in the race!

What a wonderful Windrush family day out. Thanks for guiding us Charles with the map! Loved it!

Love a good old fashioned map! Can't wait for the next ride...where will the map take us next?!

Charles, I'm still not convinced a man with your navigational prowess needed that map, but it was a great look. Thanks again all. Fantastic day in the sun.
