Does anyone fancy a ride out tomorrow, Sunday.

I was considering a ride down to Hever at a medium pace. Leaving at 0900 from Cadence.

Does anyone want to do this or thinking of something else which  I am happy to join.

See you at Cadence

I'll be there

Yes please! See you at Cadence

I might join you for the start, but might cut back a bit earlier

There is also a gang of us planning to go out but a bit further I think! Will be meeting at the same time if anyone fancies...

Same !! I’m going to see how the legs feel tomorrow morning and decide on Kent or an easier Richmond park route at an easy pace !! May see you at Cadence Deborah !!

Traditionalists will fear that any references to “mileage” in the context of 2017 cycling will only encourage Brexiteers (and we know who it is likely to be).

These nouveau Brexiteers are campaigning to take us back to the days of 26 inch wheels, 19 inch frames, 2 pint water bottles instead of bidons, anoraks instead of gilets and the days when plucky, pasty white  British cyclists had to try for a “leg” of “the Milk Race” in miserable rain while tanned Johnny Foreigners dominated the Vuelta a Espagna, Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France in glorious summer sunshine.

Cyclists know it is 120 kilometres to Whitstable along Pilgrims Way NOT 80 “Miles”. There is no “mileage” in taking us back to the days when the only competition British cycling could win was the Lanterne Rouge.
