Gales, snow, ice; we've had it all this December. At least now it is a bit milder and I feel the need to be out on my bike. Forecast for the weekend looks ok. Planning a longish ride on Sunday, starting at Cadence at 9am and heading out to Hever on the Falling Leaves route. If it is frosty on Sat night, will divert to Windsor instead. 100-110km, steady post-Xmas pace, slower up the hills! Let me know if you want to join.

I'm up for it Charles. Need to get back on the bike

I'm keen on this.

Great. See you at Cadence 9am on Sunday or a bit earlier if you fancy a coffee.

Hi Charles, I may join you too.

I'm keen for this, will see you there

Happy New Year Claire and Andrew, great to have you along. Weather will be cold but ice risk currently looks low.

Thanks for a great ride Charles! Whilst it wasn't quite the ride we had planned, we avoided the ice (although not the wind) and had the added bonus of the Windsor cinnamon bun :)

On that note, for anyone planning a Windsor ride next weekend, the Cinnamon Cafe will be shut for refurbishment. It should be reopened the following weekend.

Thanks Charles, great ride. Made it home eventually in one very cold piece!

Good decision to head to Windsor instead of Kent for the first ride of the year. Really enjoyed it! Thanks all

Thanks for your company on a cold, windy ride. At least it was dry and sunny! Thanks to Ben for putting his head down and dragging us back to London against a roaring head wind...
