Has anyone booked up to ride the Hell Of Ashdown sportive this year? Its on the 18th Feb

It was great to ride with the club last year and I'm keen to do it again.

Signed up with 9:58 start. Happy with the mini-peloton plan as far as I can follow the pace

I was planning to cycle too - what speed are you planning to do pre-ride at?

Planning on cycling to the start if anyone else fancies a few extra miles.

Not planning on heading out in full speed. If there are a few of us we'll all stay together and arrive at the start with plenty of time to have a coffee/light breakfast there before starting the main ride

Ok, I’m in then. I was planning to cycle there anyway but definitely save the energy for later!

In for the gentle ride to the start and breakfast #2 .

If we are all aiming for 10am start or thereabouts and need half an hour for breakfast, suggest we meet at Cadence 8:15am for 8:30am departure, allowing about an hour to get to Biggin Hill.

I'm coming too (with a friend - so I don't slow everyone down) for 9:58 start, Cadence at 8:15 sounds good.

Am also booked in for 10:00 so an 8:15 start sounds great! See you all then.

Jake - I've got a friend who is interested I think - have added you as a friend to message about transferring?

Looks like I got my timings wrong and won't be able to make this year's HOA... :(

I've got a race entry available if anyone is interested, let me know and I'll transfer it.

Hello Jake/Phoebe, if friend can't make it for any reason I'd be interested as well!

Cheers,

Stefan

Thanks guys but it's already been transferred. Good luck

Looks like the HOTA may be a cold one this year.

Here's a pic from the route five years ago in freezing conditions. This translucent 'ice sculpture' at the roadside was visible from about 200m away and looked eerily like an apparition. The ghost of Ashdown (GOA)!
