PARKRUN MOB MATCH!!!!
I am just adding some massive enthusiasm to our excellent run captain's PARKRUN* MOB MATCH on the 17th.
It's free, it's full of people you like, it's very close and it's a parkrun you probably have not done

And of course the Julian Garcia (Memorial) Cup is up for grabs to whichever Windrusher scores the highest Age Weighted Performance in the Mobmatch series
Will it be one of our super-fast juniors who actually came first at Peckham on one occasion? Or one of our superfast vets (maybe the one with twin spotlights on her two World Age Group bronze medals in her display cabinet in the hall?) Or even our run captain hopeful of re-naming the trophy as the Lloyds Cup?
Who knows - unfortunately cannot make the first as roped into celebrations for Peckhams 200th event BUT i will definitely be at Hilly Fields - ask Julian for odds on that appearance ;-)
Finally remember last time we were beaten by ONE runner by south London’s second best triclub so remember to check you are registered with parkrun as having your club down as Windrush!

Good work guys.
My recent sub-18 puts me at ~80% on the WAVA tables. Best 2 results to count in the series I think is fair
Who’s going to come & take me on..
and I’m delighted that it remains Julian’s trophy!

Well someone else in the club scored 78.55% with a fastest time at a non-flat parkrun last year...just sayin
am not sure requiring juniors to do two runs to take part, especially if they are relying on Dad’s Taxi

SO FAR WE ONLY HAVE 6 signed up on the event.
Can people comment on here / update the event so show that they're coming please. we need at least 20 for the team.

Remember to put Windrush as your club on your parkrun account or will run won't count for mob match - even if it is on Strava!

Julian Garcia Memorial it says on the label lol
Unfortunately Lloyd I can't make the 17th for a jog as it is Peckham's 200th event and have been roped in to celebrations
But will make the others - including Hilly Fields - in memorial to Julian who did that fun course on a very cold, wet day (while I was tucked up warm in bed still sleeping)

I have reached out to the other clubs to get an idea of team size so that I can brief the run director re likely numbers...
The other teams are Really going for it so we need AT LEAST 25 runners to be in the mix.

as i said to Clapham Chasers, there’s nothing we Windurshers like more than overtaking one of you on the way round...

Cant wait for this! Coco and I will be there! Do you think if I register Coco as a runner she will count towards our numbers?!?!!? I will make sure she is wearing a snood!
