Has anyone booked up to ride the Hell Of Ashdown sportive this year? Its on the 18th Feb

It was great to ride with the club last year and I'm keen to do it again.

I was there... the coldest day in my life.

Blimey, will remember to pack crampons and an ice pick!

Here's a pic from the route five years ago in freezing conditions. This translucent 'ice sculpture' at the roadside was visible from about 200m away and looked eerily like an apparition. The ghost of Ashdown (GOA)!

Stefan - still recovering from injury so very underprepared and unfit for this - let me know if you still want the space and I'll transfer it to you!

Hello Jake/Phoebe, if friend can't make it for any reason I'd be interested as well!

Cheers,

Stefan

Paul Connor had decided to wear shorts that day ha!

Looks like the HOTA may be a cold one this year.

Any HOA participants want to hit some hills on Sunday?

I’m actually cycling into Kent this Sunday to get some hills training in. But I gather you are all fast ! :) with Kent hills in I stick to 21-22kmh average :)

Colin, I'm up for Kentish Hills this Sunday. Head down to Hever via Brastead, do the 70.3 Hever route that loops down to Ashdown Forest, lunch in the cafe at Penshurst Place, then back via Ide Hill, Sundridge Hill? Meet Cadence 9am?

Alicja, we will probably be averaging around 25kph for this ride but there may well be others who want to go out at a steadier pace

I'd be up for this Charles
Do you have a route you can share so we can store it in our Garmin or is it in your head?
Cheers
Frank

Or in an old fashioned Map?
