I am just adding some massive enthusiasm to our excellent run captain's PARKRUN* MOB MATCH on the 17th.

It's free, it's full of people you like, it's very close and it's a parkrun you probably have not done

We want you there

You want to be there

See you there. Come on clubmates....#windrushfamily

With four legs she should count as two runners Raya!

Cant wait for this! Coco and I will be there! Do you think if I register Coco as a runner she will count towards our numbers?!?!!? I will make sure she is wearing a snood!

Hmm tempting, is anyone doing ParkRun and then heading to Brockwell for a coldwater dip?

Charles i’ve got a spare snood for (Michael) Jackson (Pollock) so that should also help boost numbers

Jackson would be totally up for it and would trip up half of the opposition with his training lead too. Alas I have a meeting at 10am this Sat and can't make the Mob match this time round.

Just a reminder for Saturday!

The other clubs are all busy replying and sending decent-sized teams. remember, in a mobmatch the winner is the team who fields the most runners, not the quickest.

The weather looks great, what's not to like.

If you fancy it and don't have kit please post on here - those who have a couple of tops / Aquathlon T-shirts please bring a spare just in case.

for those on wheels let's meet 07:45 at the Lido to cycle over.

And don't forget to register on park run website in advance, make sure you're listed as Windrush, and bring your barcode!

If you have trail shoes, you might want to consider wearing them for this - I believe the course can be quite muddy in places!

Some insight from one of my work colleagues:

"There is a school of thought that Wimbledon is the prettiest parkrun in London (in autumn, if you run it on your own, it is stunning).  You do sometimes hear complaints that it is muddy (particularly if it rains heavily around this time of year).  Tri clubs presumably don't mind getting their feet wet so should enjoy it!  I did it last week when it had the interesting additional feature of sections that were frozen - so you never knew if you were going to tread on something hard or something soft."

I will have coco with me so won’t be cycling - will grab the train, in case anyone wants to join me! Or maybe I will drive if anyone know what the parking situation is like?

Raya

Hope you have made sure Coco has registered and reminded Coco to put down Windrush as their club?

I will be driving over with the all important Windrush Flag, can take four from the lido leaving 8.15. I'm afraid can't offer lifts back as doing my long run in Richmond Park afterwards.
