I am just adding some massive enthusiasm to our excellent run captain's PARKRUN* MOB MATCH on the 17th.

It's free, it's full of people you like, it's very close and it's a parkrun you probably have not done

We want you there

You want to be there

See you there. Come on clubmates....#windrushfamily

Oops - have added Windrush as my club now. What an introduction to parkrun....!

Well done today everyone. An absolutely fantastic turnout in the cold and the snow. Somehow i managed to miss the team photo!

Looking at the results we had 19 registered scorers but I’m aware of at least 3 others who don’t have Windrush showing as their club - Emily, Simon and Suzannah making 22.

it’s all to play for in the Julian Garcia memorial trophy where Hugh, Alex and I all scored 72-73% today.

with the average of the best 2 to score it’s going to go to the wire. The good news is that being so old I get more % increase for every second i go faster!

well done peeps

Your Run Captain

A reminder for next Saturday 28th April is the final fixture in the mobmatch series.

We go into the fixture with a narrow lead so need as many runners as possible.

I’ve got the kids so am fielding a team of 3!

final reminder for Saturday - please sign up on the event and/or comment below. South Norwood is close and it's new so it'll also be a nice bit of parkrun tourism...

Just signed up but still not running I'm afraid. Will be purely in a supporting capacity so feel free to outsource any on the day admin to me (within reason)

you can jog round with Rhoda if you like.. she likes to do her times tables when she gets a stitch. she's also very fond of running in the style of various animals at different stages of the course.

ahem...... baking admin ????

That sounds much more like me than baking. And if it allows you a shot at the silverware, I'd be more than happy to oblige.

A quick summary of the final fixture to conclude a winning series for Windrush.

We fielded an impressive 59 runners across the 3 events, travelling all over South East London in all sorts of varied weather and conditions underfoot. Second were Westcroft with 34 and third CPT with 26.

And, deliciously, [a Stewards' enquiry may be needed] but in the Julian Garcia Memorial trophy - highest WMA% over two of the three fixtures - there were several runners in the mix after the first two fixtures.

Our most reliable runners were our Chairman Dave Synott [66.37, 68.96, 71.70] and Justin Siderfin [67.54, 69.93, 69.30] who both ran all 3 races with remarkable consistency.

However, the winner for the trophy based on the best 2 of 3 was your very own run captain whose scores [72.67, 72.43] beat Hugh Stobart's [72.34, 72.61] by the very slenderest of margins !

Becky where's that trophy please :)

Woo hoo - well done Lloyd on both counts!!!

Think is the first time we've actually won the mob match I think

And sorry to have missed the last run but we were short of volunteers at Peckham again (partly as a result of some of our volunteers joining Windrush ironically)

Dont forget to post a picture of you with the Julian Garcia when you get your hands on it though

Well done Lloyd!!!

Thanks again for organising Lloyd!

Yes, thanks Lloyd and well done all!!
