A friend talked me into getting up early this morning for a pre-work spin at Regents Park, and I loved it!

The idea hatched I could do more of this on the non velodrome Tuesday, much nicer than the watt bike on a sunny morning like todays.

So, plan to ride the odd Tuesday morning, 7-8am around the park at a training pace, heading to work / café directly after.

Any takers?

I would try, 7 am next Tuesday where exactly? See you

Gesine great idea. Will you post on the cycling WhatsApp and I’ll try & join you when I can.

I am in! I work pretty much there

We used to do club sessions at Regents Park on Tuesday evening before we got together with CPTri at the Velodrome.

We used to use the inner circle which is long enough so you can train flat out with much less traffic and junctions.

A lot of cyclists do use the outer circle to train and its obviously safer than just caning your ride to work in central London but there has been an on-going controversy about how fast some riders have used these roads especially around the zoo - where obviously you get a lot of children.

At that time of the morning may be less of an issue but be aware the police do check speeds from time to time and its not difficult to get over 45kph travelling south if you are fit.

Cool, let's try 22 May, 7am, near the zoo entrance : ) I'll put something up on the what's app group.

Fran is trying to organise a bag drop location, but if in doubt, bring some kit to work on the Monday to make for lighter back pack.

Tony, it was all very civilised the morning I was riding on the outer ring, although commuting traffic starts to build up close to 8am. I'll take a look at the inner ring too.
