Who's racing at Arundel on 5th August? It's a ETU qualifier if you're into that sort of thing.

I've just spoken with the lovely Helen from the Ship & Anchor Marina & Campsite which last years group stayed at. She'd rather we booked as a group - which I don't mind doing if people want to camp. The AirB&B options in Arundel aren't great. There is a pub onsite for food in the evening.

Camping costs £10/person for the night and a shower is 50p.

Trains from Victoria look okay, every 30 mins or so and under £40 for a open return.

If you're interesting camping, shout.

Cheers,

Colin

I'm in! It's a great race (with a bloody great hill on the run, twice!), and the camping is easy, chilled option.

And you might well bag your fastest swim time (its Britain's second fastest flowing river)

Hi Colin!

I'm keen to camp as well! I don't have a tent though so would need to source that somewhere.

Best,
El

Thanks El - I'm going to chat to the campsite today. I'll book you a spot.

Lucy and I are planning to get down to Arundel for around 4pm on Saturday to register and then head to the campsite.

Any more takers for Arundel?

Also Arundel race people. This race is also a GB age group qualifier for the 2019 European Champs.

As 8 Windrushers joined us for 2018 champs over the weekend in Estonia, I am sure every one of them would say it is worth adding your name on the list for qualification.

Read about the criteria in the link but the main thing is if you fall within 20% of the winner of your age groups time then you will be considered for the team...If you think you may be close or are thinking about this then definitely add your name for intention https://www.britishtriathlon.org/gb-teams/age-group/2019-weert-etu-...

Happy to talk it through if anyone has any questions!

Hey EL. We have a couple of tents you could pick from - message me on WhatsApp x

3 tent spots reserved for Saturday 4th. Helen is expecting us between 5-6pm and seems genuinely excited about the number of triathletes depending onto her campsite that weekend.

It's cash only payment for the camping.

Also - there isn't any real lock ups for bikes that will be accessible early on Sunday morning. She suggested locking them to a telegraph pole or fence or we could keep them in our tents, if they fit. It may just have to be a case of seeing whats best when we get down there.

Thanks for booking Colin! Looking forwards to the week end!

Emily, I will message you regarding the tent, thanks so much.
