Hi Everyone,

As we all know, we are always trying to find ways to show off how amazing the Club is and, in less than a month's time, we will have this opportunity again as we will be featuring at the Lambeth Country Show!

The country show takes place over the weekend of the 21/22nd July, and I am after some volunteers to help man our gazebo/stand. We are in the Activate Zone so we will be in good company with other active/sporty clubs and societies. It's a great event with loads of stuff on, and we will all still be able to enjoy the delights (cider) the show has to offer.

We have been given some space to set up the gazebo which will house an information stand where people can come and find out more about the club. We'll also be running a small activity (details TBC, but ideas more than welcome!) to try and entice the public to get involved with us.

I appreciate it's busy, as people have races/plans, but if we can find 10-15 people (but the more the merrier!) who are excited about the club, it will only take a few hours from our weekend and it won't prevent you from enjoying your weekend swims/cycles/fun.

If you think you can help out post below and I'll try and work out a rota that works for everyone!

Hi Rob, I’m really sorry, but my schedule for the weekend has changed and I can now only make it on one day, but I’m flexible about it being Saturday or Sunday, whichever is most needed.

No worries. You're currently down for Saturday morning to early afternoon if that works?

@Everyone else - I'm looking to send out a schedule of the weekend tonight, so if you have any other time restrictions please let me know now.

Thanks Ben. I've got you down Saturday morning until early afternoon.

Yeah sure, Aine.

Let me know if you want to pick anything up. Should be at Brockwell park Saturday morning to drop anything off.

Yeah, that’s perfect, thanks Rob!

Hi All,

For those attending the Lambeth Country Show, please note that bikes are not permitted in this year. There will be bike rack facilities at both of the main entrances. We have been advised that these will be secure but I'm not sure if they are operating like a Transition or cloakroom with wristbands/tickets, so remember your lock! The two entrances are at Herne Hill Gate and in front of the Lido (to serve Water Lane). There is also an Accessible only entrance at the back of the park up near the Clock Tower.

Only liquids in sealed containers can be brought in, and no alcohol /glass - not that any Windrushers would ever dream of touching a drop :-/ oh and no high vis...

Please also allow extra time for entering the Show due to the searches taking place. This is the first time the Show has been fenced and whilst loads of people may have been to festivals, it's not been tested for this type of event on this scale. Lambeth Country Show is one of the largest with an audience of up to 150k over the weekend with a large percentage of the crowd used to bringing the kitchen sink.

I'm working on Saturday but will try and swing by to say hello.
