The XC league is back and here to kick away the winter blues!

This is a great way to keep up your running throughout the winter. It's sociable, relaxed and you don't need to be a fast runner to take part. The more Windrush's we have, the more points we get! We've been in Division 2 the last couple of years but I understand we've been close to getting into Division 1... We've had a great Windrush turnout in previous years so it would be great to see the same again in the 2018-2019 season.

It is a mixed terrain so trail shoes/spikes are best but, providing conditions aren't too wet and slippery, regular trainers are also fine. Men's XC (i think) takes place on the same dates but at different locations. In true Windrush style we frequently all end up in the pub back in South London/near Windrush training locations.

We've migrated all the useful information from this post to a pinned blog post. Go there to find out all the details for the respective races: https://clubhouse.windrushtri.co.uk/profiles/blogs/cross-country-xc...

Thanks,

Sarah & Colin

Mens XC dates and venues updated.

Do we need a Windrush club vest if taking part?

I don’t believe they’re required but it’s ideal if you do have one. Lots of members have more than one so there are spares floating around that you could borrow on the day. Just give members a heads up that you need one and they can bring on the day. Come join!

Fab thanks! I'll grab myself a vest when I pick up my cycle top from Blafes in a week or so.
I've signed up to all XC races bar the October one as I am out the country.

Yay to mud and running!

Bumping this to the top of the forum

I'm ludicrously slow (a real plodder) would I still be okay to join?

Plodding is absolutely fine. Really don’t worry and get yourself signed up! The first couple are slightly shorter distances too. Look forward to seeing you there.
