Brockwell Lido Cold Water Swimming Gala

On 17^th November Brockwell Lido will be host a community gala against other lidos and swimming clubs. The event starts at 12:00 and will finish around 15:00.

Windrush, as a user of the lido, have been invited to take part in the two Brockwell Lido teams.

There will be some individual races that people can get involved with, and also an endurance 400m race (it is recommended you only put yourself forward for the endurance race if you’re an experienced cold water swimmer).

If you’re entering yourself to swim please remember you will not be allowed to wear a wetsuit, neoprene hats, gloves or boots. Swimmers will be completing one 50 meter length (unless you’re doing the 400m race).

Volunteering

If you want to take part but don’t want to swim then we’re looking for volunteers to help with on the day activities.

It would be great to get a really good turn out of Windrushers to help with volunteering.

It should be a great afternoon and an opportunity to give something back to the community lido that we are pleased to be a part of.
