Recommendations for independent kids swim teacher

Recommendations please. Independent swim teacher for 5 year old (for Sunday's for 30 mins between 4pm and 6:30pm), Streatham Better centre ideally.

Our little one has done a few terms, and can put head under water, jumping in, and supported doggy paddle, but has been a bit let down by group lessons - not swimming for the whole lesson / not making progress. Thanks for any leads!

Hi there, have you spoken to the pool? You’ll find it difficult to get swim teachers operating independently and using public pool space, as the pool will want you to use their teachers (and as a teacher myself it’s a bit inappropriate to offer paid for lessons without having specific pool space). If you’re looking for 1:1 sessions I’d suggest you contact Swimming Nature.  It’s not cheap but good quality teachers who work in the water with the pupils. Looks like they run lessons at fitness first in Streatham, too.

hope this helps

Unfortunately we would love to be able to offer 121 swim sessions through the club to juniors but do not have the insurance to cover swim lessons outside the triathlon and multisport environment!

Anna's advice is great and you can also reach out to Lois (our junior coordinator) she may have other recommendations on local swimming club lessons...

Thank you both! Good advice. I think the tricky thing will be finding  a Sunday late afternoon pool slot!

BTW Sory for the late reply. I've just come out of a Disneyland Paris, and then birthday party, tunnel #ParentLife
