Being a member of Windrush I am obviously a little biased, but as a first time competitor today I thought that the whole event was really well organised and very friendly. I really enjoyed it. The marshals were very encouraging and cheerful, the post run cake choice superb. My two boys did the junior event too and both really enjoyed it. For them too the support and marshalling was excellent. Thank you.
As a fairly new member and my first proper Windrush event, I thought it was fantastic! Thanks to all involved organising, supporting and marshalling!
Thank you, it was a great event, my kids loved the junior race!
My first Aquathlon (I signed up before I joined Windrush), a brilliant morning, so well organised and I have never seen so much delicious and nutritious cake... thanks to the marshals, the bakers, the t shirt makers, the smiling, encouraging faces and the weather, for staying dry & all the sponsors. Timing chips were terrific. You should all be proud. Shelley
Fantastic race run by a fantastic team - well done everyone! I only heard positive feedback all round! :)
Did enjoy taking the double win from Crystal Palace - we should also get some good London League points too as all other Windrushers did very well too!
I'd echo all the above compliments to Rory and all the fantastic volunteers. Superbly organised and executed. Thanks to Rory for accommodating my entry fairly seamlessy into the event. Suspect the 12 v 10 lengths debate will run and run.
can only reiterate all the above. thanks to Sam and Audrey for helping my kids in Transition so well, they both loved the experience!
Dave thanks for the loan of the Windies trisuit, very proud to compete for the club for the first time. Cheers everyone out on the course for their support and encouragement. maybe if I remember my tribelt next time I won't lose 45s in T pinning numbers on..
And Saffron you kept me extremely honest in the water and T as you powered past!
Thanks everyone! Glad you all enjoyed it - there was a lot of hard work behind the scenes completed by the little Aquathlon team. They rock!
I nursed a terrible hangover today and it was totally worth it. Next time I'll eat breakfast and lunch instead of powering through till the pub ;-)
Actually a drone ....
We might have a few problems swinging it past the Lido and Lambeth Elf and Safety Committees but I'm sure that if we give an undertaking that neither you nor I (as the club's premier crash specialists) promise to have nothing whatsoever to do with flying said drone ....
The juniors were certainly keen on your idea on Wednesday- plenty of volunteers to fly it safely too
