I'm afraid it's that time of year again when we start thinking about the Winter timetable, boo!
It launches officially at the end of Sept, but some changes will be starting from this week so I thought I would let you know the plans going forwards.
Thanks also to everyone who took the time to fill in the members survey, its been massively useful with planning the timetable, and I'll be reviewing it with the coaching team to help us develop how we can best support you. I'll be doing a full feedback and announcing prize winners in a few weeks.
So firstly the new timetable, and then there's some notes at the end to explain the changes:
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
Saturday
Weekend
Some background notes:
- Lido swim goes to just Thursdays, starts slightly earlier, and ends at the end of Sept (boooo) - see separate post for details but the Saturday morning swim/cake continues through the year (yey!).
- For the first half of the winter timetable (up to Xmas) we’ll have 2 main swim sessions, plus the swim course. Both sessions will be technique based sessions. Then we’ll hopefully move to 3 swim sessions, with additional coaching (dependent on attendance and venues) after Xmas.
- We are not continuing West Norwood swim because it costs almost twice as much as other sessions.
- We are launching a new Monday eve swim at Clapham and therefore changing the morning swim at Clapham from Tuesday to Thursday am so there’s more rest between the swim sessions. We're trialling the later start time because a lot of people have asked for later times (and it's what is available), sorry for the pilates clash. -
I’m aware that not everything will suit everyone, but I have tried and make it work for as many people as possible and used feedback from the last 2 years member surveys to inform these decisions.
Any feedback, please do let me know but I’m away first week of Sept so apologies in advance for the a delay in my replies.
Happy training and enjoy the last of the summer!
Lucy

It will be coached, same as current coached session but longer, weekly and colder!
Hi Lucy,
Thank you for all the information above!
Just out of curiosity was it a close decision regarding the West Norwood mid week swim sessions? They always seemed to be really popular sessions last winter. Were they no where near covering the costs required?
many thanks,
Shane.
Not close at all Shane I am afraid (bizarre as they are both better gyms!)! So even at full capacity (which wasn't every week due to last minute cancellations), the West Norwood session is quids down which isn't very sustainable!
I also loved that session...maybe WN might lower their prices....
Bumping this back so it's on people's radar of the upcoming Winter timetable
