Hi there,

Apologies for a public post like this

So I would love to get into triathlons. Pretty good on a bike already, will go back to running on my own, but I really suck on the swimming side. I live close to Brockwell Lido - do you meet up there in Autumn/Winter as well? Swimsuits when it's cold? Or other pools? Is there anyone there to ask for technique guidance or do you know of any courses available? Or private classes? (need to be affordable though..)

Thanks!

Monika

Hi Monika,

Welcome to the club! Our winter timetable just launched this week, you can see details here - http://clubhouse.windrushtri.co.uk/page/winter-training

Sessions are welcome to all, so long as you can swim 200m unaided. There's also coaches who offer 1:1 swim support, see Audrey's latest posts on the forum. You've just missed our latest swim course, but there should be a new one running in the new year.

Lido swimming continues on Saturday mornings, through the winter, at an uncoached session (wetsuit optional but recommended if you're not used to swimming in cold water without one).

Hi Monika. Fairly new to the club myself, with swimming as my weakest area. The swimming sessions have been really beneficial (I went on what were the Monday morning sessions which I believe are now Thursday morning), catering for all abilities. Whilst it is a group session there are always plenty of pointers and drills to help out! Well worth a go!
