Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a rucksack thats comfortable to run with? Not huge but ideally big enough for swim kit! Or if anyones got an old one they don't use and would like to sell then give me a shout.

Thanks,

Elly

I've got the cheapy decathlon one which works for me. Depends how much swim stuff you have....

These are pretty good and you can also use them to carry water - but  they are quite a bit more pricey than the Decathlon ones

I “used” to have a spare one ... until someone borrowed it and left it in a bookshop?!?

Hey Elly,

I've had the same issue in the past. One point I can recommend is to maybe look at some of the specialist running  companies such as Salomon, Omm or Inov-8  who make ultra running vests with or without a backpack compartments.

With all these running vests the mesh design and configuration hugs the body very well and you have about 10 litres for swimming kit with front compartments for gels or hydroflasks.

At the moment I am using The Solomon X - Lab Running Rucksack ( I am using one for the longer runs at the moment. ) which I love and you are more than Wellcome to have a look and give it a test run before purchasing.

I hope this helps.

Elly I use the Deuter Airstripes Race 10L for my cycling and running to and from work.

It's incredibly well thought-out and designed. it doesn't bounce around but does get a lot of stuff in it.

it's also on offer at Wiggle for only £35 which is far less than I paid for it!

Thanks for the tips everyone. I'm thinking a non-wetsuit swim Lucy ;-D

I used to use my Vaude cycling rucksack but I'm finding when its full of swim stuff it rubs my neck. So I think it's worth investing in something a bit better. I don't tend to find the time to go running at the moment, but I figure that if I can at least run to/from the swimming pool that's better than nothing!

The Deuter one looks good Lloyd, thanks. But I might go for the innov8 equivalent thats also currently on offer. I'll let you know how I get on!
