Hi Everyone,

Windrush are hosting a duathlon at the Lee Valley Velopark in conjunction wtih BTF. What this means is BTF provide all of the logistical support (online sign-ups, timing chips, medals, numbers, etc.) and we provide people-power on the day. The event itself is a 2 mile run / 10 mile bike / 1 mile run.

In the words of BTF:

"We do everything barring marshalling the event. All the bookings and paperwork (registering, risk assessing) the chip timing and signage and Hi-Viz marshal vests, provision of race numbers and medals is done by us. All your club needs to do is get the team of marshals to the VeloPark for 09:15am. Marshal the event and present the podium medals at the end. The events start at 10:30 and finish by 12noon."

Those who helped out last year will remember a brilliant morning out helping people take part in a closed road race (for many it's their first ever race!) before having the 1 mile race track all to ourselves!  In exchange for us volunteering, we also get free entry into another one of the series.  https://www.veloparkduathlon.c...

What we need:

• 12 people for this to go ahead (1 or 2 extras more than welcome to share the work)
• Everyone to be at the Velopark by 9:15am
• Lots of enthusiastic cheering for what might be a chilly race!
