So after a few years of pondering completing LEJOG (over 9 days) - I have an opportunity to complete this myself this year.

The wife however is a little concerned/worried about me completing it by myself and would like to see if anyone else out there is interested!?

My intended details are below

- Complete from 26/07 to 04/08. Approx 100 to 110miles /day

- Self supported (so bikepacking basically) - but staying in Hotels/BnB's etc Happy to discuss camping if it is so needed

- Train to both start and finish points.

Now these dates are flexible so if anybody is keen i'm more than capable of shifting it a bit :)

Please let me know and we can go from there.

Regards

Brad

Good luck Brad! I did LeJog a couple of years ago over 7 days and it was a fantastic experience, we were very lucky with the weather and only had 30 mins of rain the whole time. I'm keen to give it another go but over 5 days but this is going to have to wait till at least 2020.

I may still have the route we used and if you try exclude the A30/A9 you can do the whole route on minor roads. Just give me a shout.

If your wife is a little worried about you being on your own it may be worth having a tracking app - a free option is LIFE360 - it works off GPS and doesn't impact the battery life of your phone. There is a company called Follow My Challenge who rent out individual trackers. Unfortunately the fleet I use for the TCR are fully utilised over this time so can't be lent out.

Good Luck! Wish I could be there.

Hey Rory,

Thanks for the advice! (and the videos in the other chat). I think it would be good to have a look at your route just to compare - ive basically ripped the Prudential organised route - wanting to keep of as many main roads as possible for sure :)

Cheers
