Tickets for the Windrush Aquathlon 2021 are going on sale to the public Thursday 8th @ 0800. Let your friends and family know.

The event is run by the club to promote the sport(s) to the local community and encourage others to get involved with being active. Keeping active throughout lockdown has been invaluable to so many and similarly, lots have really missed the social element of partaking in keeping fit. 

Like the club, the Aquathlon is not for profit and as such will rely on members and friends to lend their valuable Sunday morning to volunteer. It is great fun, everyone chips in and all the competitors truly appreciate the service. Just as we all no doubt do in all the races we partake in every year. Plus in true Windrush fashion, there will be a plethora of cake. A social aspect after the event is to be reviewed in light of Covid and any restrictions in place at the time.

Those new to the club in 2021 and 2020 and would like the chance to race in the Aquathlon will be entered into the ballot which will be drawn on the 30th April. There will be 3 male and 3 female spaces.
Older members will have a similar 6 spots allocated from volunteering. Like a parkrun there is scope to race and still help out! 

Feel free to rope your partners etc in to help as well. Let them see who you spend your evenings and weekends getting sweaty with and what all the fuss is about. Extra cake if they become members as a result.
