Event Description

The 4th year of our very own race, once more we’re calling on all the fantastic members of Windrush to help make it as good, if not better than last year!

What is involved?

We will need at least 40 people to make sure we have enough to safely put on the event and run it to the high standards expected from previous years.  You’ll be helping with a variety of things including:
- set up the course
- register competitors when they arrive
- man transition area
- give out water
- marshal the course
- help with timings
- give out medals
- help clear up once over

What time?

Set up will begin from 6am (I know, I know!) with racing finishing around 11am.

If you are not able to commit to the entire morning, even a couple of hours will make a massive difference.  Once clear up has happened we’ll be hanging out in the park for a picnic to say thanks!

Please RSVP and in due course Julian will finalise who’s doing what and when you’re doing it.

I'm available to help out for a couple of hours early in the morning but will have to leave by about 9ish as I have guests staying over that weekend - let me know what I can do.

I should be fixed!! Just a tiny request, I cant do high five's at the moment, which really hurts emotionally and physically ( working on it ). Easy job would be fab.

Excellent guys!! I think missing the birth of your child is a valid excuse not to come Oliver!!

We still need at least another 20 people to volunteer or we can't hold the race!!

I'd love to help, but that day is my wife's due date, and whilst she's generally understanding, I think that might be stretching it.  Please contact me if there's anything else I can do before/after.

Happy to help out - feel like I haven't done anything Windrush-related for AGES! :( SAD FACE!

Happy to volunteer to help out.

I will most likely send an email with roles on the week before the event once I've got a more clear idea of numbers. I will apreciate if all the volunteers can send me a PM with their email address and contact number.
Regarding the First Aider, it will need to be someone certified. The role is just to be there on call in case anyone feels unwell.
