Hello sports enthusiasts!

A guy I work with is organising the 'Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour' and I thought it might be of interest to windrush members. This is how he's described it:

"features a collection of brilliant short films about mountain culture and outdoor adventure – 7 or 8 films each evening - the films feature sports like climbing, skiing/snowboarding, whitewater and sea kayaking (including a world record waterfall drop), mountain biking and something called speed flying (cross between skiing and paragliding including incredible aerial footage of Mont Blanc). Even a short film about a guy trying to build the world’s biggest waterslide in the Alps – you can see his first attempt down the slide!

It is on Wed 3rd Feb and Thurs 4th Feb at the Union Chapel in Islington right near Highbury and Islington station. The bar will be open from 6:30pm (and during intermission!)– the films start at 7:30pm. Should finish about 10:30ish. We are giving away stax of prizes too. !
