Hi all

Anyone interested in doing the Tour of Wessex this year?

There are two routes offered over three days of cycling; 330 miles or 220 miles. Once entered, I believe you can choose to do any combination of the three days as you wish. The full route takes in Cheddar Gorge, Somerset Levels, Corfe Castle, Exmoor and Quantock Hills. Possible 6,430m of climbing!

There is also a 24hr event this year, for the totally insane.

A group from Windrush did it a couple of years ago and it is a great event. On that occasion we stayed at a local farm approximately 10 miles from the start and there is likely to be that option this year too. There is also camping at the start, plus the usual b&b options.

As a group, we hired a communal van and ferried bikes back and forth from the race base each day, so suggest that as an option, or could cycle there each morning.

If you are interested, please let me know and I can see about practicalities.

I'm keen!

Camping on the farm was fun last time, so I'm even more keen if that's an option again.
