- For those who came to Tuesday swim this morning,
Here's the swim speeds from the TT's this morning. If you think there's any errors in here then do give me a shout. Richard, I'm not sure I've got your times right, can you give me a shout.
In terms of how you calculate CSS and how we use it, see here - http://www.swimsmooth.com/training.html#ixzz45cQfkkW1 (which will explain why people with seemingly quite different TT results get a similar CSS).
Name | 750 | 400 | 200 | CSS |
Alicia Alvarez | 7.09 | 3.22 | 1.54
Andrew Bowmer | 19.5 | 10.02 | *5 | *2.36 |
Dan Gilmore | 10.5 | 7.4 | 3.45 | 1.58 |
David Metcalf | 11.49 | 6.12 | 2.55 | 1.39 |
David Synott | 7.11 | 3.17 | 1.57
Emily Robinson | 11.26 | 6.08 | 2.57 | 1.36 |
Emma Bentley | 7.06 | 3.21 | 1.53
Gesine Yunker | 12.57 | 6.56 | 3.16 | 1.5 |
Kit Reynolds | 8.51 | 3.3 | 2.41
Patrick Gower | 12.19 | 6.29 | 3 | 1.45 |
Tom Taylor | 7 | *3.2 | *1.5 |
Those with asterixes are estimates. If anyone wants to redo (or do) a test again then just let me/the coach know, and that should be possible.

Thanks Lucy!
Thanks Lucky, although disappointed i've gone from 1.56 to 2.41!
I must learn to count laps and overtake.
I look forward to the next session.
Aha, that makes much more sense Richard, I think I had the 7m50 sec and the 750m mixed up:
Richard Simmons | 15 | 7.5 | 3.5 | 2 |
Kit, pretty sure yours was to do with lap counting rather than you've got slower! Stick with your old CSS or drop down slightly if you think you might have lost fitness since then.
I wondered who that was! Sure it won't be long.
David you will have to watch me run or ride as swimming is the only part of triathlon I can really do.
Emily....you should give the Aquathlon team a try out..... We need speedy ladies....
I would only be speedy in the swim! I really wish I could go for a newbie spot but unfortunately booked a trip away prior to knowing the dates... Gives me a year to up my running ability though!
